CASTRECCIONI LAKE
The lake of Cingoli, also known as Castreccioni lake, is one of the biggest artificial ponds created after the dam on the river Musone. Around the lake there are hilly woods typical of the Apennines (ash and fir trees), agricultural landscapes and Mediterranean vegetation, which characterizes the Montenero Area (protected floristic area). This artificial lake has become, through the years, a very important spot for the migrating birds and for waterfowls, gaining the title of “District oasis of Wildlife Protection”. Furthermore, in summer, the small shores along its coast, are the best spots to relax at open air while the Sibillini mountains complete this beautiful scene pictured by an impressionist painter.

WINE ITINERARIES

Martelleto is set exactly in the heart of the production of Verdicchio from the Jesi castles, imagine therefore, how many cellars are spread in the territory and that you can visit! Typical of the area are also the aromatic and fruity Rosso Conero, a blend of 85% Montepulciano and 15% San Giovese, or the Rosso Piceno with its characteristic ruby color obtained thanks to a 30-50% San Giovese and 35-70% Montepulciano. Martelletto will be more than happy to suggest you the most interesting cellars or the ones more precious and less known by a wider public.
